The China Global Entrepreneurship Conference is made possible through the hard work and dedication of the following four distinguished organizations. Each of these organizations contributes their unique skills, vast resources and rich experience to ensure a successful conference, and facilitate the creation of mutually beneficial business partnerships between global entrepreneurs and China.
Nanjing City – Nanjing is an innovation and technology center of China, which is central to the south China community of over 100 universities and colleges, and 550 research institutions. The city has established this reputation by aggressively supporting, and promoting innovation, technology, and creativity.
Nanjing is also a highly prosperous commercial center of China, which is home to hundreds of both domestic and multinational companies, like Ford, Intel, LG and others. To encourage entrepreneurship and small business development, the city recently established the Nanjing Venture Capital and Private Equity Center. The center has already gathered more than 20 prestigious investment firms like Hong Shan ($6 billion in assets), Lenovo Hony Capital ($2.8 billion in assets), Shenzhen Capital Group ($1.2 billion in assets) and QiMing Venture Partners (more than $2.5 billion in assets) to provide the Nanjing regions business community with consistent source of funding, so they can quickly and effectively bring new technologies to the global market.
The New England Board of Higher Education – NEBHE is an umbrella organization of New England’s over 270 colleges and universities, including Harvard, MIT, Dartmouth and Yale. NEBHE’s position at the center of American innovation and education has enabled it to initiate a wide variety of highly successful education, innovation and technology projects in Beijing, Shanghai and Nanjing. NEBHE has also been a key player in facilitating the expansion of American university research and development in the China market.
U.S. – China Partnership Committee – For over 10 years, UPC has worked with its partners in business, finance, government, and education on a variety of successful U.S. – China cooperative projects. UPC has been intimately involved in such high profile development projects like Shanghai’s Pudong Technology and Innovation Zone, Beijing’s hi-tech center Zhongguancun, and the north-eastern city of Dalian’s Technology Development zone. UPC has also worked with prestigious Chinese multinationals like the Bank of China, Haier and China Ocean Shipping Company (COSCO) to help them successfully expand their businesses into the global market.
Luhe City – Luhe City’s perfect blend of industry, agriculture, innovation and commerce makes it a model for Chinese economic development in action. A powerful member of the greater Nanjing region’s technological and business community, Luhe is home to a wide variety of international and domestic companies working across all fields. To promote entrepreneurship and business growth, the Luhe city government provides financial resources, business start-up resources, incubation opportunities and other incentives to promising new projects.
